Nintendo Wii Fit - Effortless Way to Keep Yourself Fit

Who would have ever thought of enjoying games and at the same time remaining fit than ever before? One player in the gaming arena did think this and converted this idea into an all time hit game viz Nintendo Wii Fit. Wii Fit blends fitness with fun in a brilliant way and is designed for everyone be it young or even old. Wii Fit was first released in Japan on 1st December, 2007 and in other regions in April and May 2008. While most of the Companies in the gaming arena have not been up to the mark in their recent quarterly figures, Nintendo has reported a whopping 34 per cent jump in their profits for the April-June quarter. Wii Fit comes with a the Wii Balance Board peripheral measuring a user's weight and center of gravity which in turn then calculates the user's body mass index when told of his or her height. Wii Fit balance board is a pressure sensitive, wireless balance board that senses weight and shift in balance in any direction ensuring that your movements are in full control of the on-screen activities.

The game has 40 different activities, divided into four key areas: Aerobic Exercise with 10-minute exercises, Yoga Poses for balance and stretching, Muscle Conditioning for controlled motions, and Balance Games like heading footballs and ski jumping. The game also tracks a user's "Wii Fitness Age" through a body test basing the result on the user's current age, weight, and balance.

By the way video games generally so far have been one of the major reasons for weight problems because of the sit-down activity. But Nintendo has in fact set out to get people in to shape and remain fit than ever breaking the stain surrounding video games with Wii Fit.
